Ford all-wheel drive vehicles offer ‘best value’: Stelmach

Alberta premier sticks with the Big Three

It’s not quite a government bailout but Premier Ed Stelmach has thrown his office’s support behind one of the struggling Big Three automakers.

Stelmach recently announced that his office is ditching the Buick Park Avenue cars it has used in recent years because of “safety and reliability issues.” He’s replacing them with four 2009 Ford Taurus cars and a 2009 Taurus X SUV.

“These vehicles meet the safety security and sustainability needs of the Office of the Premier” said Stelmach in a news release. “And they offer the best value for all-wheel drive vehicles.” The vehicles cost about $35000 each.
