Motion musicals and Holmes

STUDIES IN MOTION

Based on the life of Eadweard Muybridge a late-1800s photographer famous for cataloguing the movements of animals and humans Studies in Motion takes a look at the man whose work led to the creation of motion pictures and expanded our knowledge of the way we move. It’s not all happy movement though. Muybridge’s past comes back to haunt him amidst a beautiful multimedia set.

Written by Governor General’s Award winner Kevin Kerr presented by Alberta Theatre Projects produced by Vancouver’s Electric Company and directed by Kim Collier Studies in Motion runs until May 9 at the Martha Cohen Theatre.
