Sacred Bones
Here’s a list of adjectives: stoned relaxed lazy languid. Combine those with: psychedelic echo rock and folk. Ta-da! With roughly as much effort as the band put into this album you’ve got a review of the new Psychic Ills record! Hazed Dream isn’t good or bad so much as it’s completely inconsequential — imagine if you will a less talented more stoned Kurt Vile. Actually most of Hazed Dream sounds like abandoned scraps from Vile’s cutting room floor. Can’t help but feel this Brooklyn band went beyond “slacker” to flat-out “lazy.” Pass.
