Redford to help TransCanada win pipeline bid

Immediately after President Barrack Obama rejected Calgary-based oil company TransCanada’s application to build the Keystone-XL pipeline Alberta Premier Alison Redford held a press conference in which she vowed to work with TransCanada and "ensure that we are doing everything that we can to support the success of this project." Redford said she had spoken to TransCanada representatives about the company’s intention to reapply and how the government could work with them to have a new pipeline plan approved. "We are going to support them any way that they will find helpful" said Redford. "I fully anticipate that at least I will be making another visit to Washington on this file."
