The city’s newest food fest kicks off tomorrow with a decidedly underdog theme. Eat Real YYC is urging participants to “stick it to the man” (i.e. big box stores G.M.O’s urban sprawl) by supporting local entrepreneurs farmers and community organizations.

In keeping with the spirit of the event five per cent of sales will be redirected to communities neighbouring Casel Marche where the event is being held.

There’ll be a dozen food trucks on hand and dozen more food producers offering a range of local food and beverages.

It starts at 10 a.m.. on Saturday and runs until 5 p.m. (corner of 17th Ave and 24th St. S.W.)
