HELP! available at Festival Hall

Three panelists will be doling out advice at Festival Hall tonight for the debut of HELP! but their ultimate goal isn’t to solve anyone’s problems.

Evan Wilson host of the former Am I Right? talk show on CJSW describes the show as "a comedy-based advice panel." He solicited people to write anonymous letters asking for advice on specific problems and then sent those letters to the three "semi-distinguished life-livers" on the panel: comedian Andrew Phung (voted best actor and runner-up for best comedian in Fast Foward Weekly’s 2013 Best of Calgary poll) comedian Renee Amber and musician Kenna Burima.

The panel will present their funny and irreverent solutions onstage in front of an audience after which Wilson will discuss those responses with them then open it up to the audience to ask their own questions or provide comments.

"We’re really leaning towards the humour on this" he says adding with a laugh that "When I think of the people on this panel I’m not sure I’d take advice from them but I’d enjoy listening to them be funny."

HELP! is in the pilot stage with a second show planned in April. Wilson says he hopes HELP! will become a regular event. "Fingers crossed it will go really well."

The show runs tonight at Festival Hall from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
