Hold on to your mithril vests Hobbit/LOTR fans! The Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo has just announced Middle-earth: EXPOsed featuring appearances from Sean Astin Manu Bennett Billy Boyd (Pippin!) and more hosted by Craig Parker (Haldir!) and Mark Ferguson. The Hobbit Trilogy’s Jed Brophy (Nori) Dean O’Gorman (Fili) and Mark Hadlow (Diri) will also join the event which will take place at 8 p.m. on April 25 and will feature a live special effects presentation from Weta Workshop led by CEO Richard Taylor. One night only! Tickets range from $35-$90 plus s/c available at 10 a.m. on Saturday March 22 at TM. These tickets are sold separately from Calgary Expo tickets or passes.
Anyone else think that Thorin Oakenshield is hot in the new Hobbit films? Just me? Nevermind.
Other special "exposed" events in the lineup incude: Aliens EXPOsed a panel hosted by the cast of Aliens featuring Sigourney Weaver Michael Biehn Paul Reiser Lance Henriksen Carrie Henn Jenette Goldstein and Mark Roltson; and Jim Byrnes EXPOsed a concert by blues musician and actor Jim Byrnes ( Highlander: The TV series).
