The latest edition of the Festival of Animated Objects will take place March 16-19 and promises to be their best yet.
The full lineup of the 8th fest was announced at an event Tuesday morning at Arts Commons, complete with puppets on display, a demo of one of the interactive pieces and the hurtling of a (faux) pig across the stairwell — to much applause!
This year’s festival will feature performances for all ages including: The Old Trout Puppet Workshop remounting their classic The Unlikely Birth of Istvan; The Umbrella, one of several productions presented by Quest Theatre; Loon by Wonderheads Theatre; the amazing Dolly Wiggler Cabaret (fast, fun, furious puppetry, anyone?); as well as hands-on workshops, animated films, a mini theatre arcade — the amount of events packed into four days is staggering.
