Win tickets to Punk Rock Axe Throwing Tournament

Ask Wendy O. Williams (through seance, but, still), there are fewer things more punk rock than a chainsaw.

Except an axe!

Yes. An axe! In your hand! That you can huck! At stuff!

That, that right there is punk as fuck.

To prove it, this Sunday at 8 p.m. the fabulous folks at all-ages organization Major Minor Music Project are putting on a Punk Rock Axe Throwing Tournament at BATL Axe Throwing (2151 32nd St. N.E., Unit 80).

Not only will you get to chuck a deadly weapon at inanimate objects, but you’ll get to hear some of the best bands that this city has to offer, including Night Committee, Miesha and the Spanks, the Mandates, The Shiverettes and others.

Should you wish to partake, the event also includes an axe throwing lesson, the tourney, some bevies for the 18-plus crowd, and all of the aforementioned musical excellence. There will prizes for the king or queen of the axe throw, but, really, everyone’s a winner, baby.

Info and tickets can be found

here.

Oh, and by the way, the kind souls at Major Minor have given theYYSCENE a pair of ducats to give away for the event.

Want ’em?

Of course you do.

To win, just “like” us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter and message or tweet at us the answer to this question:

What fictional SCTV show did Wendy O. and the Plasmatics make an unforgettable appearance on way back when?

We’ll let the winner know by whatever means they entered by 5 p.m. on Friday.

Axe on!
