Eric Church’s Saddledome show to be stripped-down affair

Plenty of snow means less show.

Well, that’s not entirely true, as Eric Church always brings a bountiful and entertaining event every time he takes the stage.

It’s just that when he hits the Saddledome on Saturday night, the American country music superstar will be in a more stripped-down mode.

Due to an accumulation of snow on the Dome’s roof, he’s had to scale things back, promoters announced on Friday. As explained in a press release, “the roof system of the building has a specific load bearing limit and with the addition of the significant snow load, the tour production team must scale back many of the special effects associated with The Holdin My Own Tour.”

What that means is that local Church fans will be treated to a mostly solo and acoustic evening by the artist, “with cameos by various members of his band throughout the set.”

According to the release, he’s done the same sort of show on only three previous occasions, so those in attendance will have something to brag about.

There are still some tickets remaining for the show, so if you were on the fence and ready to make the leap, you can purchase them here and not from scalpers.
