Can you keep a secret?
We can. Just for a little bit.
But we can tell you that our friends over at the Calgary Folk Music Festival have been kind enough to give theYYSCENE a pair of tickets to their Thursday night concert as part of their Secret Sounds Society.
For those who don’t know what that is — although it’s hardly a secret — it’s a special fundraising initiative for the folk fest, where people buy memberships to the club, with several special concerts or parties spread throughout the year and in cool venues in the downtown area. There’s snacks, there’s booze, there’s an amazing time in store.
And the cool part about it is that the performer or actual event is kept a secret until you get there, with clues being posted to the SSS’s twitter feed, and then, 48 hours before the show, members get an email with info on where to go.
We know where it is and we know who it is and both are amazing. So you’re definitely going to want to get your hands on these tickets.
