Win tickets to CPO does Indiana Jones or bourbon tasting and Brando

We’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to the orchestra backing up a screening of Raiders of the Lost Ark on Saturday, or a pair of tickets to the Way Out West Festival’s Sunday showing of western One-Eyed Jacks and a sampling of some bourbon.

With the weather expected to be a little subpar the next week, it’s the perfect chance to take in a flick.

Wanna?

We’ve got tickets to give away to a pair of special screenings this weekend and we’d love for you to have them.

First up, our friends at the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra have given us two tickets for a showing of the classic 1981 action film Indiana Jones and the Raiders of Lost Ark on Saturday, May 20 at the Jubilee Auditorium. What makes it an extra special event is that the CPO will be performing John Williams’ score live as the film shows. If you’ve seen it never, once or a million times, it should be a memorable evening.

Our second set of tickets are for the closing event this Sunday night during this weekend’s Way Out West Festival, celebrating authentic western art and culture. It begins with a bourbon sampling at Bricks Wine Co. in Inglewood, with western cocktails and west-inspired canapés. Then, when the mood is suitably set, you’ll walk down the street to Fort Calgary, where there will be a screening of the 1961 Marlon Brando western One-Eyed Jacks. Should be fantastic and could make some mom very happy on Mother’s Day.

Because there’s not a lot of time, we’re going to make this one easy to enter: Just go to our Facebook page, like us, and comment below this posting, telling us which tickets you would prefer and why. (Obviously with the bourbon involved in the second event, you’ll need to be 18+ for those.)

We’ll let the winner know via direct message by noon on Saturday. Cool? Cool.

Good luck!

(Note: We incorrectly stated the Indiana Jones and CPO concert was this Saturday. It is, in fact, Saturday May 20 at 2 p.m.)
