The Calgary Stampede has announced more of the acts that will be appearing on the Coca-Cola Stage this year and the headliners are a couple of familiar names for Canadian music-lovers.

The first is Vancouver alt-rock act Marianas Trench, who will take the midway stage on July 11, and pop star Alessia Cara will perform on July 13.

They join previously announced headliners Theory of A Deadman (July 8), Sabrina Carpenter (July 9), The Strumbellas (July 12), Whitehorse (July 15) and July Talk (July 16).

Opening acts for the new freshly announced artists are Funk Schwey for Marianas Trench and Jonathan Roy for Cara, with those performing during the afternoons of each day being Calgary’s The Torchettes on the the 11th, and fellow locals Napoleon Skywalker with Edmonton’s We Were Friends on the 13th.

“We’re creating an atmosphere where people can stop by throughout the day and come together with fellow music fans to dance, jam along and experience the sights and sounds of great music,” said Samara Lastiwka, production manager at the Calgary Stampede, in the release.

“With so many artists headed to the Coca-Cola Stage, concert enthusiasts are going to want to stop by the Stampede more than once.”

All shows are free with paid admission into the Stampede Grounds.
