Lindi Ortega, JJ Shiplett, Fred Eaglesmith among acts to perform during Stampede at the King Eddy

NMC announces slate of acts who will participate during their 10-day Bell Live series, which will also see local craft beers served to thirsty patrons.

Ready to Eddy again this Stampede?

Last year, the National Music Centre opened the doors to the beloved King Eddy a month before Studio Bell was set to go, guessing, quite rightly, that locals would be excited for some music and refreshments just north of the grounds.

This year, they’ll do it again, as on Wednesday they unveiled the lineup of acts that will be performing during the Bell Live event during this year’s June 7 to 16 Stampede.

It’s another collection of excellent mainly local artists on tap, with the schedule as follows:

July 7: Leeroy Stagger

July 8: Lindi Ortega

July 9: Roots Revue

July 10: Nice Horse

July 11: Mariel Buckley

July 12: Blake Reid

July 13 and 14: Fred Eaglesmith

July 15: JJ Shiplett

July 16: HighKicks

And speaking of “on tap,” like the Stampede, itself, the King Eddy will also provide “a wide selection of local craft brews from Big Rock, Wild Rose, Grizzly Paw, Half Hitch, Village Brewery, Tool Shed Brewing, Common Crown Brewing Co., and Canmore Brewing Company.”

“Last year, we brought the King Eddy back to life during Bell Live,” said Andrew Mosker, President and CEO for the NMC, in a release.

“We’re excited to get rowdy at the Eddy for another Stampede week, and are proud to be a destination for Alberta craft beer close to the grounds this year!”

The Eddy will be open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m., with $20 cover after 7 p.m until closing for all of the headliner’s shows. Advance tickets are on sale now from studiobell.ca/bell-live-series.

To make things even better, the fantastic rooftop patio will be open, weather dependent, from noon until 11 p.m., making it the perfect spot to watch the nightly fireworks.
