Win tickets to the Sled Island Rock ‘n’ Roller Derby

We’ve got two pairs of tickets to give away to this fantastic event taking place on Saturday.

We here at theYYSCENE are huge fans of the Major Minor Music Project.

The work that the not-for-profit, all-ages, volunteer-run arts and event production organization does is invaluable to this city’s music community.

The events they do are always unique and entertaining, fun for the whole family, and feature some of the finest acts and artists — mainly local.

This weekend is no different, as they’ll be hosting the special Sled Island Rock ‘n’ Roller Derby Saturday afternoon at the Max Bell Arena. If you’ve got a Sled wristband, you’ll get in to see all of the action, which includes roller derby matches as well as music from Toronto’s Mad Ones, Aussie act Heart Beach, Edmonton’s Dead Fibres and Sasky band Black Thunder.

If you don’t have a pass?

Well, tickets are available at the door. And we suggest you go, buy one and support them.

Or. We could send you.

Our friends have given us two pairs of tickets to the fantastic event and we want you to have them.

Because time is tight, we’ll make this simple: To enter to win, please go to our Facebook page, like us, and just post a “Yes, please” in the comments under this posting. That’s it.

We’ll let the winners know by 10 a.m. tomorrow by direct message, so make sure you check your Fbook inbox bright and early.

Good luck!
