It has fast become one of our favourite local festivals — and we’re now proud media sponsors!
Wide Cut Weekend, which takes place Friday, Oct. 13 and Saturday, Oct. 14 at several venues around the city brings out the best in roots music artists, many of them homegrown.
This year’s lineup is another stacked and stellar one, and features such acts as Stephen Fearing, Carter Felker, Tim Hus, Matt Paterchuk, Little Miss Higgins, John Wort Hannam, Amy Nelson, Dustin Bentall, Brooke Wylie, Tom Phillips and on and on and on.
And while the meat of the fest is this weekend, things kickoff on Thursday, Oct. 12 with a special one-off Opening Night Party at the King Eddy with West Coast star Linda McRae and Winnipeg’s The D. Rangers. It should be a rousing way to get things started.
