Video Premiere: Calgary melodic punk quartet Sellout celebrate their Rebirth and EP release

Calgary, she keeps on doing it.

She keeps on lovingly delivering incredible musical acts and artists to our hearts and ears.

You can most definitely, unequivocally add local melodi-punk quartet Sellout to the list of all the good that we have to give. Part Dilly Dally, part Metz, part Pup, all punch and pop, the foursome are making a name for themselves quickly and anything but quietly.

And on Friday, the band — led by powerhouse frontwoman Sarah Christine, with guitarist Andre Urquidi, bassist Malcolm Strasdin and drummer Francis Glasspoole — is celebrating the release of an EP, with a show on Friday, Dec. 8 with opening acts Bad Animal, Silence The Swamps and Chans at Dickens.

They dropped two singles on Bandcamp on Tuesday — Showstopper and Nobodies — and they’ve given theYYSCENE the honour of hosting the video for the fantastic track Rebirth, with videography by Ruel James and the recording by Patrick Palardy at local Public Lunch Studios.

Have a listen. And if you, like us, love what you hear, head to our Facebook page, comment under this posting with a thumbs up, “Yes, please!” or anything similar for a chance to win a pair of tickets to that release party on Friday night. We’ll notify the winner via direct message by Friday at noon.

Enjoy.
