Top picks for getting out Dec. 7 – 13 including Kenny vs. Spenny, One Lions and Ugly Xmas Sweaters

Feeling festive yet? Well you should be — have you seen all of the holiday-related events that are happening around town? Well, if you follow theYYSCENE, you have. And here we are! I’ll give you a rundown of what’s happening this week, but first …

Just announced: Serena Ryder on Feb. 18 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, Santana – Divination Tour 2018 on March 10 at the Saddledome, Papa Roach – Crooked Teeth World Tour at the Grey Eagle Event Centre on May 2, Reverend Horton Heat on March 15 and 16 at Dickens Pub … so much.

Thursday: There are still a few tickets left for Hawksley Workman’s Almost a Full Moon Tour at Theatre Junction Grande this evening — get ’em! Artspot’s Annual Under $100 Art Show takes place today until Dec. 10, and Kenny vs. Spenny — yes, you read that correctly — Kenny and Spenny will be at The Palace tonight, so if you are a fan of their particular brand of humour, go!

Friday: Market Collective continues their holiday market weekend extravaganza (I believe that is what they are officially calling it) at the Inglewood Warehouse, and then for something a bit fancier, a bit jazzier, the CPO presents A Swinging Little Christmas with Tony Desare.

Saturday: ATP’s Charlotte’s Web continues until the end of the month, and is a great show to take the kids to (and adults! we like it as well!), and for more Christmas jazz (I see a pattern here) Christmas Jazz with The Prime Time Big Band takes place from 2-4 p.m. at The Ironwood. Spiritus Chamber Choir’s A Spiritus Christmas with the Foothills Brass takes place at the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer, and for your comedy component, One Lions: Christmaspecial takes place in the Rose Room, Alexandra Centre. All fun, all the time.

Sunday: More holiday events! Winter Fantasia takes place at the Bella Concert Hall from 2-5 p.m. and features the MRU Conservatory Choral Ensemble.

Monday: Ugly Xmas sweaters! Who doesn’t love ’em? Do you have one? If no, you can make on at the Ugly Xmas Sweater Workshop by Hands-On. It will take place at WURST at 7 p.m. You’re welcome.

Wednesday: Ralph Boyd Johnson & the Inner City Outlaws play The Blues Can. Your calendar is now officially full.

There is so much more going on in this city than you can imagine. Check out all of the listings to plan your week ahead!
