Nenshi’s got a brand new bag? Calgary Central Library hosts The Mayor’s Holiday Storytime on Sunday

Nenshi Claus?

Actually, no the man in red will not be played by the man of purple, but both of them will be at the Central Library (616 Macleod Trail S.E.) on Sunday, Dec. 17 spreading good cheer to Calgary families.

Mayor Naheed Nenshi will be hosting a special holiday storytime at Engine 23, the library’s 22-tonne fire engine, where he’ll read a selection of some of his favourite seasonal stories to children of all ages.

The free event, which takes place beginning at 1:30 p.m., will also include hot chocolate and holiday crafts.

And then at 2:15 p.m., one of the few individuals who can upstage the Mayor — Santa Claus — will arrive for a visit with the kids.

It’s a drop-in event, with no registration necessary.
