Going stir crazy yet?
Staring out the window, watching the snow fall and fall and fall and …
Well, cheer up, it ain’t gonna last. In fact, next week things heat up considerably. Guaranteed.
That’s because it’s time once again for the Calgary Folk Music Festival’s winter event Block Heater, which runs Feb. 15-17 at several venues on the Music Mile and features artists such as Justin Townes Earle, Iris Dement, Dan Bern, Astral Swans, Raleigh, Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer, Deicha and the Vududes and more.
It will, as always, be an amazing few days of music.
What could possibly make it better?
How about free tickets? Our friends at the folk fest have given us a pair of tickets to the Friday night and Saturday night shows at Studio Bell and we want to pass the love along to you.
As always, we’re going to make it very easy for you: Just go to our Facebook page, find this post and leave a comment underneath telling us which night you’d prefer to go. That’s it. We’ll pick a winner for each night and let them know via direct message by Thursday, Feb. 15 at noon.
