Paul Reubens cancels Calgary Expo appearance

First Marty. Now Pee-wee.

Sadly, Paul Reubens has cancelled his scheduled appearance at this year’s Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo.

The actor, known predominantly for his TV and film persona Pee-wee Herman, has cancelled “due to professional commitments,” Calgary Expo announced on their Twitter feed.

They also note that, “Epic Photo Ops will be in touch with anyone who purchased a photo with Paul with options and information.”

Reubens is the second high-profile celebrity to cancel his appearance at this year’s fest, as earlier this month Back to the Future actor Michael J. Fox announced he wouldn’t be able to attend the event, which takes place April 26-29 on the Stampede Grounds.

Still, there is definitely some star power headed our way, as Calgary Expo announced yesterday that Frodo Baggins himself, Elijah Wood, will be joining the other guests that include, Jeff Goldblum, Wil Wheaton, Jason Momoa, Anthony Daniels, Megan Follows, Lou Ferrigno, a Back to the Future reunion with Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson and Tom Wilson, and a Princess Bride reunion featuring Cary Elwes, Chris Sarandon and Wallace Shawn.
