Downtown Calgary dining fave Blink closing its doors, reopening as another Annabelle’s Kitchen

After 13 years of service, downtown mainstay restaurant and business lunch favourite, Blink is officially closing its doors this summer.

In its place — following a makeover of the Stephen Avenue spot — will be a second location of Annabelle’s Kitchen, the modern Italian restaurant Blink owner Leslie Echino opened in Marda Loop last year. A more casual concept, Annabelle’s reflects Echino’s Italian roots with classic dishes — arancini, Panzanella, pizza and pasta.

Though Blink fans, take heart, Echino says a few of that restaurant’s lunch menu favourites will still be available.

Executive chef Chris Dewling will continue to helm the kitchen.

Along with the second location of Annabelle’s Kitchen, Echino has also created a catering division for in-home entertaining.

The new Annabelle’s Kitchen on Stephen Avenue is set to open early next month.
