CKG is turning TEN! Toot-toot. It is with great pride that we announce this milestone and invite you to help us kick off the beginning of another ten wonderful years. If that is not worthy of a party, then we don’t know what is!
From our inception as The Weiss Gallery off 11th Avenue SW in 2007, to our relocation to a mid-century warehouse in the Manchester Industrial area in 2014, CKG has come to be known as an innovative and welcoming space to experience contemporary art. Though much has changed (our name, location, the pugs!) over the past ten years, our guiding philosophy has always been to share our knowledge of—and enthusiasm for—art with the greater Calgary community. TEN is a celebration of this legacy and our commitment to showcasing a versatile and talented stable of artists united by their craft-intensive approach to artmaking.
A tribute to our beloved artists, TEN is a survey of the incredible work they do, ranging in scale from ten inches to ten feet, in media from ceramic to encaustic. Please join us in celebrating the immense talent of our gallery artists, whom have beautified and built CKG over the last decade.
