Spiced burger and fries

Pairings

Hop bitterness and the discreet blended aromas of grass and earth make drinking an IPA a real treat. A medium body assures a good mouthfeel.

To match these particular beers I designed a recipe with a blend of spices offering a contrast of flavours parallel to the beer itself. It’s easy enough that even a stoner can figure it out.

Spiced beef patties and French fries

800 g extra-lean minced beef

1 tbsp medium curry

1 large tsp dried hot mustard

1 small tsp dried ginger powder

2 tbsp dried garlic powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

a pinch of turmeric

1 tbsp dried thyme leaves

Place the meat inside a large salad bowl and pour all the ingredients on top. Mix thoroughly with two hands for six minutes.

Make 100 g portions of meatballs and then flatten into patties.

Place the meat on a barbecue or inside a skillet with two tablespoons of canola at high heat for two minutes on each side.

Reduce the heat to medium and cook to your preference.

Serve with French fries with or without a bun.
