Buck 65 – The Lost Tapes/20 Odd Years Volume 1

Warner

The Lost Tapes is a one-hour DVD documentary of Buck 65’s 2008 cross-Canada tour directed by Christopher Mills. According to tour legend raw footage was stolen on the second last day of the tour only to turn up on the side of the road outside of Victoria B.C. days later. The since-found footage contains interviews detailing Buck 65’s coming of age getting beat up after a show the influence of his older brother and his passion for roller-skating (the Nova Scotia native began his career performing at local rinks). There’s also live performances and skits videos and some tongue-in-cheek survival tips thrown in for good measure.

Not to be overlooked the four-song 20 Odd Years EP sees Buck 65 riffing on the love life of superstars mediated consumerism and Michael Jackson capped with a stunning cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Who By Fire.”
