Femme Fatale Five remembers fallen Angel

When Calgary’s Marsha Ellen Meidow passed away last January a city and community was in mourning. Marsha was well-known for many selfless acts but was especially recognized for her efforts in helping homeless women and teens. She has been described as a warrior a best friend an angel a mentor and the list could go on.

Jo Noad was a good friend of Marsha’s and even though Noad lives in Kelowna she is driving to Calgary for the event.

"Marsha’s passion for giving women a voice especially abused women is contagious even after she passed away. She was an inspiration to everyone who had the chance to meet her and even those who didn’t" Noad says. "She would give a helping hand a warm meal a tender hug and so much more."

Marsha’s spirit has lived on through her work her friends and family and those who haven’t even met her — and on Saturday March 26 at Club Sapien her memory will be celebrated during the Femme Fatal Five with performances by an all-female cast.

There will be Burlesque dancers drag kings poets dancers singers and more at the fundraising event with the proceeds going to organizations helping women and young women in high-risk situations. Tickets are available at Blame Bette for $20. Anyone who attends the show will be given VIP access to the after party at the Republik later in the night. You can’t go wrong!
