Free Doc Screening: Sustainable Deception

We are proud to announce the Western Canada premiere of Sustainable Deception ( Déception Durable ) as our February feature documentary.

Sustainable Deception presents a story of how large-scale resource extraction negatively impacts communities at opposite ends of our country. In Alberta and Quebec the same socio-economic effects were found in both the communities affected by the Alberta Oil Sands and the Plan Nord in Quebec.

Shot in both Alberta and Quebec Sustainable Deception showcases the social cultural and environmental dangers associated with large-scale extraction.

7pm Screened at the Gallery Hall at the Taylor Family Digital Library at the University of Calgary. Cash or food donations for the Students Union food bank are accepted 30 Minute Q & A with the director after the screening.
