Mary Timony, Mount Kimbie, josh pan among second wave of Sled Island 2018 acts

Prepare to be swamped by goodness.

The second wave of acts announced for this year’s Sled Island is almost overwhelming in expanse, variety and quality.

New headliners added to an already solid lineup include: Ex Hex guitar monster Mary Timony revisiting her storied past with a Plays Helium show; English electro duo Mount Kimbie, who will be performing in full band configuration; dark, dreamy, sultry and sensual Vancouver singer Harrison Brome; Alberta-born retro boy wonder Michael Rault; mysterious EDM producer josh pan; and garage rockers Peach Kelli Pop.

Also revealed were new picks by guest curators Deerhoof — Prissy Whip, Solid Freex and empath.

They join the previously announced first wave of headliners, which includes Dirty Projectors, Wye Oak, John Maus, Lido Pimienta, Grouper, Mount Eerie, Shabazz Palaces and Slow.
