The amazing area acts continue to shine at Studio Bell with the National Music Centre’s Alberta Spotlight Series, of which theYYSCENE are proud sponsors of.
This time out it’s an April 19 evening with a pair of incredibly unique, incredibly talented acts — Calgary’s own classical art-pop princess FOONYAP and indie-rock soundscape group nêhiyawak from amiskwacîwâskahikan (Edmonton) on Treaty 6 territory.
It should be an unforgettable night of music.
We want you to go.
And luckily for us, and one lucky person reading this, NMC has given us a pair of tickets to give away to the show.
As artistically complex as these artists are, we’re that simple, so we’re going to keep things just as easy when it comes to entering.
You know the drill: Head to our Facebook page, find this post and leave a comment underneath that could be as easy as a winky emoji or a monkey gif (preferably in clothing, perhaps smoking?) — whatever you think might make us smile. (Note: We kind of need.)
We’ll pick a winner at random and let them know via direct message by end of day Wednesday, April 18.
Good luck and thanks for supporting Alberta musicians.
And, um, shameless plug: Should you wish to support us, please consider becoming a patron of independent arts and culture writing in this city by pledging to our Patreon campaign.
