Consider it complete.
Sled Island has finally unveiled its full musical lineup for this year’s event, filling out the 2018 roster with an extra 160 acts announced on Tuesday.
Some of the new additions who will play during the fest, which runs June 20-24, include: bassist Thundercat, who’s worked with last year’s guest curator Flying Lotus and was a member of Suicidal Tendencies; T.O. punk legends No Warning; El Perro del Mar, which is the project of Swedish indie pop star Sarah Assbring; Eastern Canadian noise-dance act Eyeballs; and Edmonton fave Marlaena Moore.
Other acts going the bill include Common Holly, Petra Glynt, Kandekt, Lié, Eamon McGrath, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, NOVEMBER and, as always, a healthy contingent of locals such as Conversations with Bears, DJ Dine & Dash, Miesha & The Spanks, Samantha Savage Smith and Uncanny Valley.
The join previously announced artists such as The Flaming Lips, Dirty Projectors, Mary Timony,, Deerhoof, Wye Oak, John Maus, Mount Kimbie, Lido Pimienta, Grouper, Mount Eerie, Shabazz Palaces, Harrison Brome and Slow.
Sled Island passes are available now from their website, as well as in person from Sloth Records and Lukes Drug Mart. A limited number of single tickets to shows that were just announced go on sale Friday, April 20 at noon at the aforementioned outlets.
