Win tickets to the Roundup MusicFest featuring Train, The Wallflowers, The Grapes of Wrath and — Goo Goo Dolls!

How’s that for a surprise?

On Monday, the Roundup MusicFest announced that the surprise guest for this year’s event, which takes place July 11 at Shaw Millennium Park, will be Buffalo alt-rock vets Goo Goo Dolls.

The John Rzeznik-led band, known for ’90s hits such as Iris and Name, will join the previously announced, already stellar RoundUp lineup of Train, The Wallflowers and Canuck faves The Grapes of Wrath.

“Roundup attendees expect that this event will always deliver the best festival line up of the summer, and we are thrilled that we have been able to add a multi-platinum-selling act of the calibre of the Goo Goo Dolls to the festival bill,” said Sarah Geddes, communications director for the Roundup MusicFest.

Tickets and VIP passes on sale now from the event website:

How about another surprise?

We want you to go to the best party of the Stampede season for free.

The fine folks at the fest have given us tickets to give away to the show, and we want you to go.

Let’s make this another easy one: If you’re 18 years old or over, just head to our Facebook page, find this posting, and tag a friend in the comments below. Will pick the winner at random and surprise them via direct message on Friday, June 29.

That gives you four days to enter and spread the word to your friends.

Good luck!
