Thursday: Vance Joy performs at the Saddledome, while Alfie Zappacosta is over at the Blues Can and Jack DeKeyzer plays the Ironwood.
Friday: Poetry! Poetrology: A Poetic Experience, Performance & Panel brings poets and creators together, see what it’s about at Memorial Park Library. Shakespeare by the Bow starts tonight! Take in Two Gentlemen of Verona until Aug. 19 down at Prince’s Island Park. Afterwards head to the Blind Beggar Pub to take in Da Billys with Altamont Revolver, FKB & Krowns.
Saturday: Pre-Canada Day events! Head to Banff for the Canadian Roots Music Celebration with The Deep Dark Woods, Barney Bentall, Good For Grapes and Elk Run & Riot at the Shaw Amphitheatre. If you want to stay closer to home, the Deadbeats Canada Day event featuring Zeds Dead, Rezz, Yehme2, Chuurch & Smalltown DJs at the Grey Eagle. The John Butler Trio with Mama Kin Spender are over at MacEwan Hall or Jr. Gone Wild at the Ironwood.
Sunday: Canada Day! So much going on, the 5th Annual Canada Day Block Party hosted by BassBus and MarketSpot YYC at Max Bell Centre, so many events out at the Banff Centre, the Canada Day 2018/Canadian Lumberjack Party at Studio Bell. Also head to Olympic Plaza, Prince’s Island Park or St. Patrick’s Island. So! Many! Things!
Monday: Comedy Monday Night over at Broken City with Derek Flores & Adam Delorey. Fun!
Tuesday: Sunnyside Open Stage Tuesday presented by Springboard Performance over at ContainR Park in Sunnyside. Head on down, grab a coffee, check out something fun at ContainR Park! Then take a break. Stampede is just days away…
