Win tickets to CUFF.Docs’ opening night screening of Mr. Fish: Cartooning from the Deep End

Incendiary. Provocative. Thoughtful. Divisive. Insightful. Smart. Smutty. Funny as hell.

There are many words you could use to describe the cartoons of American artist/creator Mr. Fish (a.k.a Dwayne Booth), and all of them would be correct at any time, for any panel, any illustration, any idea.

But the one thing he undeniably is is one of the last great, uncompromising voices and artists in the medium of political/cultural cartooning.

You’ve undoubtedly seen his work at some time and in some medium, but to fully appreciate his talents — as well as contemplate the battle of art vs. commerce — you should most definitely see director Pablo Bryant’s fantastic new documentary Mr. Fish: Cartooning from the Deep End.

Guess what? You’re in luck. It happens to be the opening night gala screening for CUFF.Docs, this Wednesday, Nov. 28 at the Globe Cinema, with Bryant and Booth in attendance.

And, guess what again? We’re giving away a pair of tickets to that show, courtesy the beautiful cats at CUFF.

To enter to win, just head to our Facebook page, find this post, then comment under it tagging the name of a friend who you would like to take. Because it’s a short turnaround, we’ll take entries until noon on Wednesday, letting the winner know via direct message at that time. If you enter, please be ready to go see a pretty great movie that night.

Good luck and please support CUFF and CUFF.Docs, which takes place this year from Nov. 28-Dec. 2 and features some remarkable works in the doc format from all around the world.
