Michael J. Fox to reunite with Back to the Future cast at 2019 Comic Expo

Back to Future … Part 2!

And in a rare case, the sequel should be even better than the first.

Organizers of the Calgary Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo have just announced that the stars of the hit franchise Back to the Future will reunite again at the event — this time with the Alberta-born star of the hit franchise, Michael J. “Marty McFly” Fox.

Due to a medical emergency, Fox had to cancel his scheduled appearance last year to appear alongside the other leads from the Future films, but on Friday, April 26 he’ll take his place onstage in the Stampede Corral along with Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown), Lea Thompson (Lorraine McFly), Tom Wilson (Biff) and newcomer this year James Tolkan (Mr.Strickland). (Still, sadly, no Crispin Glover. Sigh.)

“We’re thrilled that Mr.Fox and the rest of the cast wanted to make this dream come true for Calgary fans,” Kandrix Foong, Calgary Expo founder and managing director of Fan Expo HQ West, said in a release. “There was no question we’d do everything we could to make it happen, and we’re thrilled they were so enthusiastically on board to do it with us!”

Tickets are sold separately from admission to Calgary Expo, which takes place this year from April 25 to 28 on the Stampede grounds and are available to purchase beginning Tuesday, Jan. 29 from starting at $20 (plus GST and service charges). There are also a limited number of Backstage Passes, which includes “the best seats in the house” along with an opportunity to meet the stars for a photo and autographs.

As an added bonus, other than that evening, the guests will appear throughout the weekend at Calgary Expo. Fox, for example, will be there the Friday and Saturday, with very limited special experiences with Michael J. Fox available, which includes photos and autographs, as well as preferred tickets to the special Friday night event.

The Back to the Future cast joins previously announced guests Zachary Levi, David Harbour, Pamela Anderson, Sean Astin, and Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum.
