Nothing like a good ol’ hurtin’ and drinkin’ country song,
And Standard Alberta’s own Drew Gregory has got himself a great one with his new single Better In A Bar, which is featured on his latest release Good Place to Start. The song is the second radio entry off of the album and a co-write with fellow AB country artist Aaron Goodvin.
“I’ve always loved being around people. In good times and bad,” Gregory says of the tune. “This song is about getting out of the house to get your mind off things instead of sitting at home and feeling sorry for yourself.”
Gregory, who was named the Alberta Country Music Association Male Artist of the Year in 2015 and took home the 2016 ACMA Award for Album of the Year for his previous record I Was There, will also be hitting the King Eddy stage for a show March 15. Tickets for that are available now here.
If you need any more encouragement to check out the 2016 YYC Music Award Male Artist of the Year, theYYSCENE is pleased to premiere the video for Better In A Bar. Singalong, drinkalong — enjoy!
