He has been called the “most hated man in Hollywood” and the world’s worst filmmaker.
So of course he’s the perfect subject for a documentary — the appropriately titled Fuck You All: The Uwe Boll story from Canadian director Sean Patrick Shaul.
It’s a fantastic film that shows how the German-born, Vancouver-based Boll — maker of such b- or d-films as Postal, Bloodrayne, Rampage and many other bargain basement video game adaptations — earned both of those descriptions, as well as affection and incredible loyalty from those who’ve worked with him.
We’ll be running an interview with Shaul leading up to the Saturday, April 27 Calgary Underground Film Festival screening, where the director will also be in attendance (sadly not Boll himself as he sometimes is).
But we also have, thanks to our friends at CUFF, a pair of tickets to give away to that showing.
If you’d like to go — and you should — please head to our Facebook page, find this post and comment under it tagging someone you’d like to take. We’ll pick a winner at random and let them know by direct message before the end of the day Friday.
