Good and talented people making great things.
It’s a pretty common occurrence in the Calgary arts scene, be it the musicians, theatre companies, visual artists and, of course, filmmakers who call this city home.
One of them is celebrating the Canadian premiere of his feature-length debut Sunday, June 2 at the Globe Cinema — local writer/director Hussein Juma. He’ll screen his mysterious new thriller/horror flick Things Fall Apart at 2 p.m. that afternoon.
If you’d like to know a little — very little — more about the film read John Tebbutt’s excellent interview with the evasive Juma here.
And if you want to see it, well, we can help you out with that, too. The director was kind enough to give us two pairs of tickets to give away to that Sunday matinee. To win, please head to our Facebook page, consider giving us a like, find this post, and comment under it tagging a friend who you would like to take to the show. We’ll pick two winners at random and let them know via direct message by the end of the day Friday, May 31.
Good luck and please keep supporting Calgary arts and culture.
