Food Dignity: Understanding Systems of Injustice – A Screening and Panel

September 17, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm MDT

The Alex Community Food Centre and Community Food Centres Canada are proud to present a special screening of an episode of The 12 Neighbours Project; a 7-part series that asks the most important question of our time; what does it really mean to love our neighbors?

Episode 6: Understanding Systems of Injustice – A 15 minute profile of the Alex Community Food Centre and our national partner Community Food Centres Canada. Through interviews with staff and community members, the segment explores food dignity, systemic injustice, and ways we as a community can increase access to good food for all.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring filmmaker Marcel LeBrun, Nick Saul, President and CEO of Community Food Centres Canada, Syma Habib, Community Action Coordinator at the Alex CFC, and a community member. A Q&A will follow.

This event is free and family friendly and open to all. FREE – RSVP at Eventbrite
