From Wheatfields to Future Libraries: This is also Public Art with Ciara McKeown

How can we connect to artists’ ideas within the public realm that may not fit defined parameters? How can our understanding and expectations of public art evolve to reflect our contemporary context? This talk will question definitions and perceptions of public art by examining practices outside of the expected and monumental approach to reconsider ideas of place, the role of the artist, and to celebrate public art’s immense possibilities.
