Dress up and head out on your bike for the third annual Tweed Ride YYC being held today May 19 at the Sunalta Community Centre. The event is a chance for cyclists to dress up in tweed or their "Sunday finest" then join others for tea followed by a casual ride exploring the city (bring a classic bike if you have one).
The event aims to encourage fun group rides in Calgary and the ride is being held in support of Bicycles for Humanity which sends used bikes to developing countries. In 2013 over 130 participants and helped raise $1950. Registration and tea starts at 2 p.m. followed by the ride at 3 p.m. Details are posted on tweedrideyyc.com .
