Government wants your input on potential high-speed link

The province wants you to make your case for or against a high-speed rail system right down the centre of the province. The Legislative Assembly’s standing committee on Alberta’s economic future has been reviewing the potential for a long-pondered bullet train primarily from Calgary to Edmonton since November 2013. The committee has heard from relevant industry representatives and is now asking for the public’s thoughts on the matter.

A series of public presentation sessions will be held at the end of the month in Calgary Red Deer and Edmonton. Calgary’s will be at the Coast Plaza Hotel on February 24 at 6:30 p.m. Those who want to present at one of these meetings must register at 780-427-1350 by February 20. You also have until March 31 to present a written submission at economicfuture.committee@assembly.ab.ca .
