Full slate of performers for the popular midway stage has now been announced, with organizers calling it their “biggest year of music yet.”
Best for last?
Kinda seems that way.
The Calgary Stampede announced its final group of acts that will be gracing the Coca-Cola Stage this year and it’s sure to please.
The last of the headliners are Canadian duo USS on July 7, veteran West Coast pop star Nelly Furtado on July 10, and incredible American musician Ben Harper with his band The Innocent Criminals on July 14.
That wraps up a pretty solid lineup of headliners that will perform on the midway stage from July 7 to 16, including Whitehorse, Alessia Cara, Marianas Trench, July Talk and The Strumbellas.
“Having such a diverse and vast group of musicians play at the Calgary Stampede allows for audiences to experience something new and exciting every day while attending The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth,” said Samara Lastiwka, production manager at the Calgary Stampede, in the release.
“This last announcement of artists rounds out the Coca-Cola Stage lineup for our biggest year of music yet.”
Opening act for USS is Ria Mae, with afternoon performances that day by Cole Malone and Madi Allen. Before Furtado’s set, Alex Veliz will set things up, Jana McDonald and Brad Saunders providing daytime tunes. And for Harper, there is no opener, but Edmonton R&B artist Carmen Lucia will take day duties.
All shows are free with paid admission onto the Stampede Grounds.
