Would a pair of tickets to the Oxford Stomp work?
It is, of course, Calgary’s longest running corporate outdoor music festival, celebrating its 30th year this year, and it takes place two days later, July 13, at the same Shaw Millennium Park.
And what a stellar lineup, with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Fogerty — if you’ve never seen him live, seen him perform Creedence Clearwater Revival classics, you haven’t lived — along with blues-rock vet Melissa Etheridge and Canuck faves Skydiggers and Barney Bentall.
It’s an unbelievable group of artists, it should be an amazing day and, bonus, it also supports the Calgary Military Family Resource Centre this year.
It is the place to be during the Stampede season, don’t ya think?
Well, the lovely folks behind that amazing party have been kind enough to give us a pair of tickets to give away for one lucky reader of theYYSCENE.
We had a ridiculous amount of people wanting the Roundup tickets, pretty sure there’ll be many more wanting these.
