Things are heating up again, and I’m not talking degrees Celsius (although, yes, clearly that is also happening). When you’re not playing hooky from work and submerging yourself in an outdoor pool to escape the heat (I did that! Thursday: Head to Kensington where you can find The Food Realm presented by Market Collective over at Blank Page Studio — food trucks galore! Music! Good times! If you’re downtown, check out Bryson Waind & the CB who are performing at the King Eddy.
Friday: So much happening, where to start? The Inglewood Night Market is back, and over at Municipal Plaza you can take in Truck Stop by Machine de Cirque, an “electrifying circus” with acrobatics, music, and fun. Afterwards wander across to the Jack Singer to see Ry Cooder with Joachim Cooder, or head over to the Grey Eagle for Michael Franti & Spearhead.
Saturday: Dear Rouge & The Boom Booms will be at the Shaw Amphitheatre in Banff (road trip!) and over at The Palace you can take in the Chasing Summer Wrap Up Party with Tchami, David Stone, B2B & Seelo. More into broody, lovely folky awesome? Copperhead will play the King Eddy tonight, so get thee down there.
Sunday: The Gypsy Kings with Nicolas Reyes & Tonino Baliardo at the Grey Eagle.
Monday: Mt. Joy with guests play the Commonwealth.
Wednesday: Mountain Sound Brigade with Liquor Mountain and the Unpleasant Trees will be over at the Ship & Anchor. Go for the music, stay for the patio.
