It’s just after Easter and apparently we’re still in the mood for good will to all and free stuff for some.
The folks at the King Eddy have been kind enough to give us a pair of tickets to give away to what should be one helluva night of rip roarin’ honky tonkin’.
On Friday, April 26 Saskatchewan group Wolf Willow will take the stage performing “original honkey-tonk and ripping fast western swing numbers in the format of an old time radio show. With a horn section and an ear for countrypolitan arrangements, Wolf Willow both stretches and upholds the retro-country tradition.”
Here’s a taste.
If that’s not enough, joining them will be central Alberta act Red Hot Hayseeds, who specialize “in western swing, country, and bluegrass toe tappers, knee slappers, heartbreakers, and waltzes,” as well as local old-timey folk artist Bella White.
Again, the perfect Friday night soundtrack for some whisky drinking and two stepping.
