It is an indie rock music festival like no other indie rock music festival, and the East Town Get Down is back for its second year this Saturday, May 25.
The event, which is the initiative of the International Avenue Business
Revitalization Zone (BRZ) and International Avenue Arts and Culture, will take over four blocks of 17th Ave. S.W. filling shops and restaurants — most normally not live music venues — with more than 50 acts.
Some of the bands and artists include Rae Spoon, Chad VanGaalen, Anvil, Duotang, Wet Secrets, Chron Goblin, The Shiverettes, Striker, Port Juvee, Gone Cosmic, Napalmpom, The Torchettes, Dragon Fli Empire and Windigo.
So much goodness packed into one small, yet vibrant and incredibly diverse part of the city.
