Win tickets to Off the CUFF’s screening of Guns Akimbo

Harry Potter it ain’t.

In fact, the wizard goes to war with high-powered weapons not no wimpy wand in the Daniel Radcliffe action film Guns Akimbo.

Our friends at the Calgary Underground Film Festival are screening it at the Globe Cinema on Tuesday, Feb. 18 as part of their year-long Off the CUFF series.

What to expect? Well, the website Birth.Movies.Death says: “Watching Guns Akimbo feels like having someone toss a bucket of cocaine and bullets right into your stupid face, and I mean that in the best way possible.”

But here’s CUFF’s synopsis of the film: “Miles (Daniel Radcliffe) is a socially awkward, easily intimidated loner who spends his days in a dead-end job, pining for his beautiful ex-girlfriend. His mundane existence is turned upside down when he finds himself enrolled on a dark net website that forces complete strangers to fight in a city-wide game of death, so that their gladiatorial battles can be live-streamed worldwide to a fanatical, blood-lusting audience … An inspired, contemporary take on the iconic action movies of the ’80s and ’90s, Guns Akimbo is an adrenaline-soaked balls-to-the-wall action comedy in the tradition of Kick-Ass, The Terminator and Deadpool.”

Cool. Very.

Look like something you’d like to see? We have some tickets to give away courtesy CUFF and we want you to have them. To enter, head to our Facebook page, find this post, and comment below it tagging another muggle you’d like to take.

We’ll pick some winners at random and let them know via direct message by the end of the day Monday, Feb. 17.

Good luck and thanks for supporting theYYSCENE.
